He was predeceased by: his sister Carol Portner (Rothmeyer); and his parents, Ervin Rothmeyer and Mildred Rothmeyer (Vogel). He is survived by: his brother-in-law Marlin Portner (Carol) of Mankato; his niece Shannon Portner (Sam Bode) of New Ulm; his nephew Michael Portner (Stacy) of Roseville; and his great-nieces, Abby Postel and Savanna Bode.
