She was predeceased by: her sister Phylis Friedrich; her parents, George Maha and Alice Maha (Streich); and her husband Emil Wendler. She is survived by: her children, Karen Groebner (Dennis) of Clements, Kathleen Soupir of Redwood Falls, Terry Wendler (Linda) of Redwood Falls, Duane Wendler (Angie) of New Ulm, Roland Wendler of New Ulm, Dennis (Jean) of Mankato and Joel Wendler (Ronda) of New Ulm; and her siblings, Gloria Jungkins of New Ulm, Carol Haack of Arden Hills and George "Buddy" Maha of New Ulm. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren.
