He was predeceased by: his nephew James Jeffrey Bassett; his pet Gracie; and his parents, Kenneth Bassett and Lois "Dolly" Bassett (Rewitzer). He is survived by: his siblings, Roxanne Zimanski (Gary) of Courtland, Cindy Rosenau (Randy) of New Ulm and Kevin Bassett (Joy) of New Ulm; his cousin Jim Rewitzer; and his friend Jeff Gulden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
