He was predeceased by: his siblings, Arnold of Balaton, Irma (Fedde) and Jane (Kirk) of Balaton; his grandson Eric Van Winkle; and his parents, Glen Winkle and Luella Van Winkle (Nelson) of Balaton.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Bangerter (Church) of Wabasso; his children, Barry (Audrey) of Farmington, Gail (Gary) of Lafayette, Steve (Tammy) of Lakeville and Neal (Laurie) of Farmington; and his sister Betty Johnson of Mesa, AZ.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
