He is survived by: his daughters, Christie Dewanz (Clayton), Deana Ries and Sandy Kley (Leon); his grandchildren, David Dewanz (Tena), Christopher Dewanz (Ana), Bryan Dewanz (Emily), Aaron Dewanz, Kaitlyn Ries, Kenny Ries and Riley Kley; his siblings, LaVonne Grussendorf, Sharon Johnson, Mardell Stueber (Larry) and Maury Ries; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Ries, Marion Dittrich and Udean Sargent (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
