We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2022, at the age of 67, Cheryl Bastyr of New Ulm, Minnesota, born in New Prague, Minnesota passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cheryl Bastyr to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Svoboda and Dorothy Svoboda; her parents-in-law, Leonard and Delores Bastyr; and her niece Rachel Bastyr.
She is survived by: her husband John Bastyr of Owatonna, MN; her children, Andrew Bastyr (Emily) of Mankato, MN, Jacob Bastyr of Owatonna, MN and Anna Hulett (Taylor) of Arvada, CO; her grandsons, Eli, Jonah, Noah Bastyr and Henry Hulett; her siblings, Terri Bentson (Wayne) of Rosemount, MN, Jim Svoboda (Barb) of Bel Air, MD, Shelly Spielberger (Kevin) of Chaska, MN and Teacher Squad; and also Katie Nakagaki. She is also survived by twenty-nine nephews and nieces, John's siblings and spouses.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St Mary's School, Homestead Hospice Patient Care Fund or Mayo Cancer Research Fund.
