It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernetta Schwermann of New Ulm, Minnesota, born in Winnebago, Minnesota, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Mark and Leo Slama; and her parents, Clarence and Frances Slama Sr. (Tibodeau). She is survived by: her husband Carl Schwermann; her children, Jeff Schwermann of New Ulm and Karla Bogucki (Mark) of Victoria; her grandchildren, Baron and Miles; and her siblings, Mary Fischbach (Ed) of West Hills, Regina Staloch of Arnold, Missouri, Clarence Slama Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Jaynesville, David Slama of St. Paul, Paul Slama (Cindy) of Mankato and Jeffrey Slama (Joan) of Winnebago. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Humane Society or American Red Cross.
