He was predeceased by: his former wife Hilda Schweiss; his son Mark Schweiss; his granddaughter Kristy Scarberry; his stepson Wayne Harder; his siblings, Silverius Schweiss, Leona Mathiowetz and Florence Kotten; and his parents, Joseph Schweiss and Hedwig Schweiss (Huhn).
He is survived by: his wife Velma Schweiss; his children, Mary Ann Schemmel (Woody) of New London, Deb Kohout (Dave) of Glencoe, Lisa Hagen (Scott) of Redwood Falls, Arnie Jr. Schweiss (Cathy) of Toledo and Mike Schweiss (Debbie) of San Antonio, Texas; his stepchildren, Sonja Leske (Tom) of New Ulm, Sharon Frederickson (Ron) of Hanska, Steven Harder of New Ulm and Susan Harder of St. George; and his brother George Schweiss of Gibbon. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
