She was predeceased by: her husband George J. Portner Jr.; her sisters, Crescentia Meidl and Lydia Hofmeister (Norman); her siblings-in-law, Carol Meidl (Edward), Leonard Portner (Alice) and Raymond Portner (Alice); her nephew Marlin Portner (Carol); her son-in-law Rolland Howie; and her parents, Edward H. Meidl and Lydia Meidl (Lang).
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Howie of Dennison, Donna Portner (Robert Nevitt), Diane Barghini (Richard) of St. Croix Falls, WI and George E. Portner of Bridgewater, NJ; her grandchildren, Ryan (Fey Vancamp) of Tucson, AZ, Anna Howie-Schmidt (Carl Schmidt) of North Pole, AK, Drew Nevitt (Katja Putzke-Nevitt) of Madison, WI, Mara Nevitt (Michael Banakis) of Lincolnshire, IL, Dominic Barghini and Alexander Portner of Clinton, NJ; her brother-in-law Norman Hofmeister of New Ulm; her great-nephew Brandon Portner (Nicole); and also, Madilyn and Jacob. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
