He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Schlaak and Luella Schlaak; his parents-in-law, Richard Frisk and Isabel Frisk; and his siblings, Judy Leyek (Kenny), Kenny Schlaak and Luann.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Gary Schlaak (Jackie) of Hartland, Neil Schlaak (Jill) of New Richland, Keith Schlaak (Kelly) of New Richland, Donna Timm of New Richland and Linda Stadheim (Darrin) of Ellendale; his daughter-in-law Chris Schlaak of New Richland; his grandchildren, Justin Schlaak (Kim), Nathan Schlaak (Lindsey), Brandon Schlaak, Gaven Schlaak (Rachel), Nicholas Schlaak, Rhiana Scibilia, Katy Scibilia, Tony Schlaak (Cassie), Kelli VanHal (Andy), Anna Schlaak, Paige Holland (Taylor), Chad Schlaak, David Schlaak, Dustin Schlaak and Emilia Stadheim; his great grandchildren, Kordell, Gabrielle, Dakota, Aidan, Ryan, Ashton, Owen, Evelyn, Hadley, Jack, Alex, Lydia, Nolan, Wyatt and Kage; his brother Lyle Schlaak (Diane) of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother-in-law Curt Frisk (Joanne) of Dodge Center, MN; and also, Oscar Barrios and José Barrios. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
