It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Schoenecker of New Prague, Minnesota, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schoenecker and Celia Schoenecker (Ruhland); his wife Marie Hoffman; his daughter Gloria Wagner; and his siblings, Erwin, Lee, Ralph, Robert, Joe, Richard, Delores Gosewich and Rosemary Lambrecht.
He is survived by: his sons, Dan (Barb) of New Prague, Pete (Karen) of New Prague and Don (Colleen) of New Prague; his son-in-law Dave Wagner of New Prague; his grandchildren, Jeff Schoenecker (Jen), Kerry Geis (Brandon), Kate Keil (Justin), Paul Schoenecker (Nicole), Sara Belmonte (Jim), Mike Wagner, Tom Wagner (Tammy Johnson), Jackie, Jill, Joe, Julia and Matthew Schoenecker; his siblings, LaDonna Peller of Bloomington and Earl Schoenecker (Mary) of Maple Lake; and his sister-in-law Rosie Schoenecker of Bloomington. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
