He is survived by: his wife Cheryl of New Prague; his children, Charlien Cook of New Prague, Tammitha Upperman (Daniel) of New Prague, Laura Parks of New Prague, Richard Parks II of New Prague and Robert Parks of Kansas; his grandchildren, Alysia Freschette (Jeremy), Tabbi Upperman (Megan), Andrew Cook, Ariel Cook, Tess Halsey-Parks, Monica Cook, Dark "Dawn" Parks and Destiny Parks; his great grandchild Archer Gray; and his siblings, Gordon Scott (Ayse) of Turkey, Johnette Riggs (Steve) of Kansas and Jackie Knipple of Tennessee.
On Sunday, October 9, 2022, Richard E. Parks, age 78, of New Prague, died peacefully at his daughter's home with his family at his side after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
