She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. and Gaile Emily Mulligan, Sr. (LaLonde); her husband Norbert J. "Nubs" Marxen; her grandsons, Andrew Marxen and Paul Cheney; and her brothers, John H. Mulligan, Jr. and Thomas Mulligan.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Lien (Greg) of Two Harbors, Gaile Furth (Mark) of New Ulm, Beth Mahle (Rob) of Coon Rapids, Joan Marxen of New Prague, Robert Marxen of St. Paul, Ellen Veith (Steve) of Brainerd, James Marxen (Katherine) of Webster and Amy Cheney (Don) of Burnsville; her grandchildren, Erin, Brian, Emily, Christopher, Jenna, Molly, Sarah, Samantha, Tricia, Josh and Katie; her great grandchildren, Liliana, Alexander, Finley and Addie; her sister Helen Eckert of Chaska; and her sister-in-law Susan Mulligan of California.
