She was predeceased by: her parents, Park McMeekin and Lauretta McMeekin (Freidl); her husband Dr. Lee Mahowald; her son Mathew; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Honza Mahowald.
She is survived by: her children, Gretchen Haws (Loras) of Kilkenny, Jennifer Kaiser (Ron) of Linton, ND and Christopher Mahowald of Mankato; her daughter-in-law Theresa Mahowald of Minneapolis; and her sister Jeanine McMeekin of Antigo, WI. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
