He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Pint and Rosalia Pint (Witt); his parents-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Mannie; and his siblings, Joseph Lenz and Mary Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Pint; his children, Karl Pint (Heather), Amy Durand and Elliot Pint; his foster son Rick Hambrick; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Thomas, Jakob, Lauren, Marnie, Meredith, Luke, Scarlett and Oakley; and also Brent Durand. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
His retirement from that position did not mark the end of his service, as he subsequently devoted many years to the Gambling Control Board, where he worked closely with elected officials and took pride in his contributions to the shaping of alcohol and gambling laws in Minnesota.
