He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Nielsen and Signe Johanna Nielsen (Saarheim); his wife Trudy; and his brother Brian Nielsen. He is survived by: his children, Kirsten Nielsen of New Prague, Kara Nielsen of St. Louis Park, Stephen Williams (Jacqualine Guerra) of St. Cloud and Anthony Williams (Jennifer) of Chicago, IL; and his siblings, Fred Nielsen, Jim Nielsen, Rodney Kersey, Brad Nielsen (Anina), Brenda Thompson (Jim), Bonnie Krueger (Kent) and Beverly Nielsen (Dean Struc). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
