He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil F. Bisek and Mary N. Bisek (Novak); his former wife Sandra Swygart; his son-in-law Michael Madsen; his stepson Victor Carlson; his stepgrandson Cole Carlson; and his brother Leonard Bisek.
He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Thorne of New Prague; his children, Tami Madsen (Bill Hulett) of Maple Lake, Kim Ries (Jim) of New Prague and Jim Bisek (Michelle) of Jordan; his stepchildren, David Carlson of Litchfield, Patrick Carlson (Lori) of Zimmerman, Kimberly Carlson of Arizona and Desiree Birmingham (Cindy) of Austin, TX; his stepdaughter-in-law Kathy Carlson of Chaska; his grandchildren, Cassie Madsen (Zack Friedli), Caleb Madsen, Nathan Ries (Jolene), Tiana Nelson (Chris), Brandon Ries (Sam), Jamie Durham (Dustin), Evan, Abby and Corbett Bisek; his stepgrandchildren, Mattie, Andy Born, Samantha and Ben Carlson; and his siblings, George Bisek (Carol) of Lindstrom and Judie Cervenka of St. Patrick. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
A larger celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date when Covid restrictions have been lifted.
