He is survived by: his wife Lillian J. "Bella" Mracek; his daughters, Geri Pumper (Greg) of Rochester and Nancy Freeman (Jon) of Forest Lake; his grandchildren, Maggie, Aaron Pumper and Eli Freeman; his brother Roman Hertaus (Jan) of Prior Lake; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Hertaus of New Prague, Diane Hertaus-Pexa of New Prague and Clarence Skluzacek of Lonsdale.
