He was predeceased by: his father Curtis Rathje; and his husband Jacob. He is survived by: his mother LaDonna Rathje (Holm); his brother Timothy Rathje (Valerie) of Columbus, NE; his nephew Brendon Rathje (Aliezah Rodriguez); and his niece Hailey Rathje (Thomas Kretz).
