He was predeceased by: his wife Alda Mae Mayers; his parents, Herman Mayers and Anna Mayers; his siblings, Ervin Mayers, Luella Humbert, Viola Scholz, Donald Mayers and Loretta Mayers; and his great grandchild Joseph Mayers.
He is survived by: his children, David Mayers (Shirley) of Swanville, Mary Jane Kortenbusch (Stan) of Albany, Alice Groetsch (Dennis) of Alexandria, Ruth Boeckermann (Tom) of Lakeville and Tim Mayers (Lori) of Freeport; his brother Sylvester Mayers of South St; and his siblings-in-law, Norb Humbert of Melrose and Jeanette Mayers of Melrose. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
