He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Brown and Louise Brown (Smith); and his daughter Marna. He is survived by: his siblings, Marlene (Mrnak), Sharon (Bliss), Carol (Ziebarth), Gary, Verlin, Shirley (Clemmons), Jeanette (Nelson) and Marvin; his wife Sharon Ann Marie Grove; his children, Eric (Diane) of Canyon Lake, TX and Kyle (Elizabeth) of McAllen, TX; his son-in-law Erik Anthonisen of Fergus Falls, MN.; and his grandchildren, Poppie, Austin, Martin, Jenna, Anders and Siri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for designation at a later date.
