He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Barber and Cora Barber (Allpress); his former wife Alice Pearson; his siblings, Dick Barber, Rodney Barber and Audrey Ihlang; his siblings-in-law, Clinton Ihlang and Janet Barber; and his nephew Steven Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Vernese Schwitalla; his children, Michael Barber (Colleen), Don Barber (Dawn), Yolanda Johnson (Chuck) and Timothy Barber (Kari); his stepson Bruce Schwitalla (Jill); his siblings, David Barber (Judy), James Barber (Judy) and Gloria Fostervold (Dan); and his sister-in-law Joyce Barber. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren.
