He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Sochacki (Red) and Helen Sochacki; and his brother Joseph L. Sochacki (Rose). He is survived by: his siblings, Stacy Sochacki of Evanston, IL and Margaret Clow (Bob) of Lake Geneva, WI.; his niece Susan Sochacki (David Rudolph); and his nephews, Joseph Sochacki (Emily) of Indianapolis, IN, Jonathan Sochacki (Sabrina) of Buffalo, NY and Erik Anderson (Jenni) of Antioch, IL.. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Sochacki Family Fund at the St. Therese Foundation.

“Walter and I were classmates at Benilde.Then we were in high school, at Nazareth Hall. We were classmates at Saint Paul ISeminary, and we were ordained in 1968. He was always hilarious and groups would gather round as he did spot-on imitations of professors, or told great stories. Walter was a solid, good conservative priest with a big heart and tons of admirers. Including me. Love to all. David McPhee”
