He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kunze and Dena Kunze; his wife Karole; his daughter Rebecca; and his siblings, Loraine and Robert.

He is survived by: his children, Larry, Rozalynne Bohlman (Scott), Dana Kunze (Judith) and Suzanne Gaston (Larry); his girlfriend Judy Robey; and his brother Fred Kunze Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
