Amy left this world on January 4, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her spouse Russell Frederick "Fred" Houts; her parents, Clark Shank and Genevieve Shank; and her brother Jim Shank. She is survived by: her children, Kerry Houts and Jon Houts (Josephine); her siblings, Bernice Brockelsby, Clark David Shank, William Shank and Helen Forbes; and her grandsons, Nathaniel Houts, Andrew Houts, Jaheim Nuah, Biggie Konneh, Jonathan Houts, Alexander Houts, Walter Jonathan Houts and Eric Michael Houts. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Church (4225 Gettysburg Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Ave. N., New Hope, MN, for Disability Ministries or the Hope Bridge Food Shelf.
