It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Layne Gabbert of Nerstrand, Minnesota, born in Hankinson, North Dakota, who passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gabbert and Elsie Gabbert (Pringle); his wife Arlene Ellingson; his daughter Debra; and his siblings, Helen Highum (Ted), George (Arlett), Charles and Howard Gabbert.
He is survived by: his sons, Layne Gabbert (Becky) of Plymouth and Paul Gabbert (Lisa) of Chaska; his grandsons, Jess Mittlestadt (Steve), Mike and Drew Gabbert; his great grandchild Emma Mittlestadt; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Gabbert of Park Rapids, Doris Gabbert of Hankinson, ND and Arlene Ellingson (Voss) of Bloomington, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church, Nerstrand.
