It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael George Bjellos of Nashwauk, Minnesota, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bjellos and Mary Bjellos; his wife Shirley Hall (Hall) of Hibbing; his son-in-law David Tarbuck; and his siblings, Peter, Cenia (McNairy), Eli, Violet (Latvala), Marian, Margaret, James and Gordon.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Beth Porter (Gary) of Cohasset, Michele Tarbuck of Grand Rapids, Sally Lehman (Russell) of Hibbing, Michael Jr. (Amy) of Woodbury and Sara Hood (Brian) of Minnetrista; his grandchildren, Jeff Smith, James Tarbuck (Samantha), Levi, Sam, Elizabeth Stottler, Sylvia, George and Max Bjellos; his sister Patricia Welte of Bemidji; and his sister-in-law Judy Wilmot of Rochester, MN..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home (2030 1st Ave, Hibbing, MN 55746). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
