He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter P Franz and Mary Franz (Linscheid); his wife Marlys Gunderson; his siblings, Wilma Krause, Marcie Wiebe and Harlin; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Judd, Marcy Radunz, David Krause, Abe Wiebe, Wendell Gunderson, Wilbur Judd and Don Radunz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bev (Jon Lowe) and Karen (Bill Haley); his grandchildren, Stephanie Lowe and Adam Lowe; his brother Harris; his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Franz and Dorothy Gunderson; and his close friend Phyllis Wilth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
