He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franz and Anna Franz (Nickel); his wife Joyce Stadtlander; his sister Rosella; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Lohrenz and Dante Borja.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas of Minneapolis and Karen Franz of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Rachel and Karly Franz; and his sisters, Joyce Lohrenz and Dorreen Borja. He is also survived by niece, nephews, and friends.
