It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard John Harju of Mounds View, Minnesota, born in Hibbing, Minnesota, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Kvaale; and his sons, Allen and Robert. He is survived by: his daughter Judy Galliher (Rick); his daughter-in-law Mary Harju (Caryl Weaver); and his grandchildren, Russell Harju (Lindsey), Kelley Bryan (Tyler), Alanna Porter (Nick), Tyler Harju (Jordan), Rachel Harju, Ryan Galliher and Jess Galliher.

“We met Doris and Richard at FACA in Minneapolis. It was nice to be able to visit them at the meetings. After Doris past away Richard took time to visited with us at the meetings. Then a nice surprise we met up with him at Finn Fest in Duluth last July. A very nice man. He will be missed. We always for got to ask one question " was he related to the Harju's in Cokato.
