With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Ellen Lagow of Mound, Minnesota, born in West Monroe, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her former husband Don Whittington; her siblings, Mary Catherine Riser, Jerry Medaries and Larry Medaries; and her parents, Evelyn Johnson Merritt and Duke Medaries.
She is survived by: her husband Dewey Lagow; her children, Jan Whittington LaBure (Chris) and Greg Whittington; her grandchildren, Christopher Whittington LaBure (Kelly), Chase Whittington LaBure (Courtney) and Hunter Whittington; her stepdaughters, Rene Lagow Sanders (Brian) and Serena Lagow Corbet; and her stepgrandchildren, Tyson Sanders, Andy Corbet and Lexi Corbet.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Bethel UMC in her honor and memory.
