He was predeceased by: his parents, John Colwell and Genevieve Colwell (Hogan); his sisters, Mary Teed, Betty Lauffenburger and Peggy Colwell; and his niece Joanna Teed.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Connie Odenthal (Jake), Eric Colwell, John Colwell (Jessica) and Katy Koerner (Brandon); his grandchildren, Aidan, Miles, Kane, Elliott, Elise, Connor, Ellarie, Irene, Mary, Quinn, Anna and Margaret; and his siblings, Joe Colwell, Jeanne Colwell, Julie Bentson, Kate Colwell, Alice O'Donnell (Rick), Ed Colwell (Carrie) and Carl Colwell (Angie).
In lieu of flowers, Tom and his family request donations in his memory to CentraCare Hospice in Redwood Falls or another charity that aligns with Tom's beliefs.
