He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brazil and Margaret Brazil (Farenbaugh); and his siblings, Lorraine Shultz, Mary Sanders, Dorothy Westerheim and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Hayek; his children, Mary Jo Khalil (Nick) of Eden Prairie, Dan (Bronwyn Collins) of Minneapolis and Ann Brazil Johnson (Mike) of Golden Valley; his grandchildren, Chris (Emily), Michael, John Khalil, Rhys Brazil, Felix and Tatum Johnson; and his sister Doris Stensvad of Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota or The American Cancer Society are preferred.
