He is survived by: his wife Linda Shields; his children, Gina Holthaus (Keith) of Decorah, IA, Lana Stein (Dan) of Prior Lake and Jason Schreffler of Rochester; his grandchildren, Emily, Jared Holthaus, Isabella and Sophia Stein; his siblings-in-law, Kim Smith and Charles Shields; his nieces and nephews, Charlie, Brandon, Justin, Elizabeth and Onah; and his great-nephews, Hudson, Briggs and Jack. He is also survived by other relatives; and many friends.
