She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sperr and Lena Sperr (Wille); her husbands, John and Richard Ascheman; her daughter Joni Backman (Jackie) of Morris; her grandson Dustin Backman; and her siblings, Fred, John, Walter, Albert, Arland, Leland, Marjorie Armstrong and Mae Anderson.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan Backman (Karen) of Morris, Douglas Backman (Carol) of Alberta, Steven Backman (Cathy) of Morris and Bradley Backman (Jonna) of Donnelly; her stepchildren, Jack Ascheman (Joyce), Sue Wevley (Ron), Bill Ascheman (Patsy), Larry Ascheman (Peggy), James Ascheman (Barb) and Mary Greiner (Gaylen); her siblings, Edward Sperr of Cache, OK, Gayle Kallstrom of Great Falls, MT and Gloria Stein of Morris; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Sperr of Morris, Viola Sperr of Morris and Karen Sperr of Sartell. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to West Wind Village or Glacial Ridge Hospice.
