He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spohr and Esther Meriam Spohr (Schlupp); his brothers, Wilbert and Fritz Spohr; his sister-in-law Karen Spohr; his in-laws, Kermit and Ann Boyum; his sister-in-law Martha Rose Boyum; his wife Liz; his children, Ed Spohr (Linda) of Minneapolis, Mary Spohr (Jim Roesner) of Minneapolis, Sara Spohr of Minneapolis, Martha Hanson (Michael) of Morris and Bill Spohr of Morris; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Charlie, Ray, Karina, Anna, Arne, Maria, Freddy, Frances and Martin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Eddie Spohr (Millie) of Camarillo, CA and Ilene Burnham (Allan) of Morris; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Spohr of Hancock, Gloria Spohr of Morris, Kari Gramith (John) of Norwood, Peter Boyum (Carol) of Battle Lake and Paul Boyum (Pam) of Battle Lake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and good friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (108 W 8th St, Morris, MN 56267). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
