It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Simonsen of Morgan, Minnesota, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Bernard Simonsen; her husband Denis Green; her sons, Patrick and James Green; her children-in-law, Mary Baune and Michael Shibe; her grandson Eric Green; and her siblings, Paul, Dale, Ralph, Lyle Scharfencamp and Opal Malacek.
She is survived by: her children, Cecelia Scharfencamp (Kerkhoff), Tom Green (JoAnn) of Morgan, Jill Pistulka (Richard) of Richfield, Laure Green of Richfield, Kris Green (Don Gilhousen) of Anchorage, AK and Kathy Thompson (Mark) of Minnetonka; her daughter-in-law Shirley Welter (Ron) of Cold Springs; her stepchildren, Paul Simonsen (Jan), Tom Simonsen (Judy), Jerry Simonsen (Patti), Cecelia Shipp and Lorie Hoffman (Bob); and her sister Fern Paschke of Austin. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.
