She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Braunger and Catherine Braunger (Weber); her husband Ambrose Steffensmeier; and her siblings, Mary Vivian, Sylvia Iffert, Anna Walter, Rose Senger, Florence Kerkhoff, Dorothy O'Callaghan, Eugene and Linus Braunger.

She is survived by: her children, Larry of Boone, IA, Russ (Jan) of Morgan, Chuck of Redwood Falls, Roger (Deb), Kevin of Morgan, Lisa Schwab (Dan) of Mantorville and Mike (Stef) of New Ulm; her brother Francis Braunger of St. Peter; and her siblings-in-law, Delores Braunger of Faribault and Dick O'Callaghan of Wanda. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
