She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Plain and Agnes Plain; her husband Raymond Schmidt; and her son Richard. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ayres (John) of Naples, Florida, Robert Schmidt (Mary) of Morgan, Jeanne Anderson (Randy) of Otsego, Leroy Schmidt (Sue) of Baxter, Jan Johnson (Milt) of Osceola Wisconsin, Joan Okins (Mike) of Olivia and Donna Walden (Jeff) of Pequot Lakes. She is also survived by her kids and adored her grandchildren and great grand children.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan, Minnesota.
