He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Caneff (Barkdull); his wife Elizabeth Caneff; his daughters, Mirinda Caneff and Denise Winter; his grandson Jacob Otto; and his siblings, Tim Caneff, Ed Caneff, Dan Caneff, Dennis Bauer and Betty Fox.
He is survived by: his father John Caneff; his daughters, Teresa Ann Vogl (Scott) of Morgan, Tina Marie Spaeth (Ken) and Jennifer Louise Kaase (Darren Hacker) of Morgan; his son-in-law Mark Winter of Hastings; his sisters, Janice Hicks of Hastings and Lin Youle of Hastings; and his sister-in-law Linda Bauer of Hastings. He is also survived by father and grandfather, leaving behind 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (510 3rd St, Morgan, MN 56266). A Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery (510 3rd St, Morgan, MN 56266). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
