He was predeceased by: his parents, Knud Basballe and Mildred Basballe (Christianson). He is survived by: his wife Janette Smith of Redwood Falls; his children, Laura Basballe of Apple Valley, Doug Basballe (Tracy) of Mankato and David Basballe (Jennifer) of Beavercreek, Ohio; his grandchildren, Damien, Alexis, Tre and Kaylee; and his siblings, Betty Martin (Ed), Paul Basballe (Cheryl) and Carl Basballe (Janet).
