He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John, Ruby Schaefer, Richard and Irene Haun; his brother Joel Schaefer; and his nephews, Riley Domeier and Levi Feichtinger.
He is survived by: his father John Schaefer; his children, Mariah and Jordan Schaefer; his mother Denise "Dee" Schaefer (Haun) of Fairfax, MN; his siblings, John Schaefer (Christi Somers) of Marshall, MN, Jason Schaefer (Jessie) of Mankato, MN, Justin Schaefer (Karen) of Marshall, MN and JoDee Schaefer (Joel Feichtinger) of Willmar, MN; and his nieces and nephews, Brennan, Presley, Gavin, Kellen, Azlee, Leah, Aubrey Schaefer, Dylan Goblirsch and Aurora Feichtinger. He is also survived by Many Aunts, Uncles, other relatives and friends.
