It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Bandemer of Morgan, Minnesota, who passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bandemer and Mildred Bandemer (Netzke); his former wife Alice Bandemer; his son Michael Bandemer; and his stepfather John Furry.
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Schuerkamp; his wife Rita Hornick; his children, Kay Kalthoff (Steve) of Lino Lakes and Gary Bandemer (Tracy) of Toronto, SD; his stepchildren, Douglas Hornick (Judy) of Buffalo, MN, Bryon Hornick (Linda) of New Ulm, Keith Hornick (Dave) of Rothschild, WI, Sherri Helget (Jon) of Wethersfield, CT and Steven Hornick (Tierra) of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Karel Kalthoff (Jackson Jaro) of San Diego, CA, Kari Comfort (Mark) of Eagan, MN, Kasey Kalthoff (Collin Anderson) of Shoreview, Drake Bandemer of Brookings, SD, Mason Bandemer of Toronto, SD and Jack Bandemer of Brookings, SD; and his stepgrandchildren, Shyranda Hornick of New Ulm, Shamara Hornick of New Ulm, Jeremy Goldsmith (Alyssa) of Sleepy Eye, Yuri Hornick (Nick) of Sleepy Eye, Andrew Hornick of Northhome, MN, Jacob Hornick of Chelsea, MI and Conner Stahl of Wethersfield, CT. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
