With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernadine Anna Mathiowetz of Morgan, Minnesota, who passed away on April 6, 2021 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schunk and Lucy Schunk (Hickel); her husband Othmar Mathiowetz; her siblings, Ralph Schunk and Delores Hammerschmidt; and her great grandchild Piper Woodford (Ben Wurtzberger).

She is survived by: her children, Joanne Simonsen (Dave) of Morgan, Lavonne Gilbertson (Mark) of Burnsville and Kenneth Mathiowetz (Deb) of Morgan; and her grandchildren, Chris Simonsen (Becca), Aaron Simonsen (Jaime), Angie Goren (Lee), Jeff Gilbertson, Nicholas Mathiowetz (Becky) and Kim Woodford (Mike). She is also survived by 3 children.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home at 96 Third St. SE.
