It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Hoppe Sr. of Moose Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hoppe and Genevieve Hoppe; his parents-in-law, Lola and Adrian Venem; his siblings, Ruth, Bette, Rosemary, Thea and Edward; his brothers-in-law, Einar Lattu, Joe Goldberg, Roger Dahlquist and Dean Waldemar; his daughter-in-law Gloria Hoppe; his nephew Bruce Lattu; and his nieces, Debbie and Deanna Dahlquist.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Venem; his children, Robert, Jr. (Bob) of Lawton, OK, Todd of Naknek, AK, Scott of Sturgeon Lake, Joel (Bob) of Lawler, MN and Vicki of Eau Claire, WI; his siblings, Sandy Dahlquist of Hermantown and Becky Waldemar of Henning, MN; his brothers-in-law, Bud Waldemar of Henning, MN and Keith Olson of Little Falls, MN; and his grandchildren, Megan, Adrienne, Eric, Josh (Stacy), Rebecca, Jamie (Corey), Jesse (Ray), Jade, Ashley (Charlie), Mandy (Josh), Alyssa, Geno, Holly, Pam, Geraldine, Jimmy and Angie. He is also survived by 45 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
