The passing of Vance I. Kittilstved of Moorhead, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 85. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irv Kittilstved and Ruth Kittilstved; his wife Janice Fitzgerald; and his brother-in-law Warren Gilbraith. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim, Sharon and Kathy; his significant other Arleen Stein; his children, Richard Kittilstved (Kristi), Bruce Kittilstved (Ardis) and Lori Mitchell (Steve); his grandchildren, Jennifer Canavan (Michael), Amy Kittilstved, Alyssa Tragesser (Thomas), Brett Kittilstved (Hayley), Eric Kittilstved (Yasmin), Brad Mitchell (Jacque) and Jeff Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Madigan Canavan, Emlyn Canavan, Brennan Canavan, Maizlyn Tragesser, Jaxyn Tragesser, Brynlee Mitchell, Calie Mitchell, Landon Kittilstved and New Baby Kittilstved; and also, Sharon Gilbraith, Kathy Gaare and Jim Kittilstved. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (605 2nd Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A Mass will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (218 10th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (2102 5th St S, Fargo, ND 58103).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Sanford Hospice House, 820 4th St. N, Fargo, ND 58102.
