He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Jenson and Alice Jenson (Evenstad); and his son Michael Jenson. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Michele Jenson of Moorhead, MN and Mark Jenson (Mindi) of Ogema, MN; his grandchildren, Joshua Hiltwein, Justin Hiltwein, Matthew Jenson, Jake Jenson and Nikolai Jenson; his great grandchildren, Aiden Gangl and Kaylee Hiltwein; and his sisters, Lavonne Johnson and Marlene Johnson (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because of his years of work with the Friends of Tamarac Group and all that Ron had helped with in the Visitors and Discovery Center, the US Fish & Wildlife awarded him the "Silver Eagle Award" for outstanding contributions to fish & wildlife in the Great Lakes – Big River region.
