He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Allen and Faye Allen (Rice); his spouse Roberta Poenisch; his brother Francis "Frannie" Allen; and his brother-in-law Barney Dickhaus.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie Schuck (Mark), Loretta Gille (David) and Glenn Allen (Diane); his sisters, Laura Dickhaus and Lois Hanson; and his siblings-in-law, Maxine Allen, Velma Poenisch and Mickey Magill. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Rosewood on Broadway.
