It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert D. Engelstad (Moorhead, Minnesota), who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lars M. Engelstad and Synneva Engelstad (Gunderson); his spouse LaVerne Gothe; his children, Lynn Johnson (Reed) of Alexandria, Jon Engelstad (Lori) of Moorhead, Susan Roesler (Rick) of Pelican Rapids and Julie Nye (Jim) of Lakeville; and his siblings, Sidney, Doris, Gene, Larry and Bob. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Christ (1900 14th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverfront on Main in Pelican Rapids, MN, where the staff cared for "Bobby" with dignity, love, stories, and mutual teasing.
