He was predeceased by: his father Robert Cartwright; and his grandparents, Edward "Chick" Jollie, Philomene "Swede" Jollie, Thomas Cartwright and Victoria Allery Cartwright.
He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Cartwright (Jollie) of Belcourt, ND; his wife Anita Anderson of Moorhead, MN; his daughter Lauren of Moorhead, MN; his siblings, Joe Cartwright of Belcourt, ND, Tina Laverdure (Greg) of Coleraine, MN and Sherry Cartwright of Belcourt, ND; and his father-in-law Eugene Anderson of Moorhead, MN. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
